SEND Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people with complex needs? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team in a specialist setting in the Leeds LS10 area.
This full-time position offers standard hours from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, and provides a nurturing and inclusive environment where students with complex needs receive tailored support to thrive.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide individualised support to children and young people with complex learning, physical, and medical needs, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and engagement in educational activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing individualised support to students with complex needs
- Assisting with personal care routines and medical interventions as required
- Working closely with teachers, therapists, and healthcare professionals to implement individual education and care plans
- Maintaining effective communication with parents/carers
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with complex learning, physical, and medical needs
- Knowledge of SEN/SEND strategies and interventions to support learning and development
- Ability to adapt and respond to the varying needs of students
- Enhanced DBS check on the update service
- Eligible to work in the UK without any sponsorship
