Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at a well-established SEN school in West Yorkshire.

About the Role:

  • As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced teaching staff to provide individualized support to students with Special Educational Needs.
  • You will assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, as well as contribute to the development of a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Responsibilities may include working with small groups of pupils, providing intervention support, and delivering 1:1 assistance to students with SEN and lower ability pupils.

Requirements:

  • A strong passion for education and improving the attainment of pupils with SEN.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to deliver high-quality educational experiences.
  • Experience working with children or in a school setting is desirable, but not essential.
  • The ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic, and caring, with a creativity for stimulating and engaging pupils.
