Deputy Production Manager

Egger, a leading company dedicated to sustainable practices and quality in the production of wood-based materials, is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Deputy Manager in the Lamination department.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the Lamination department to operate efficiently and effectively to predetermined and agreed standards within budgetary constraints and HSE standards.
- Review and analyse the production process, recommending and implementing 'best practices' to ensure improvements.
- Liaise with the relevant engineering department regarding maintenance requirements in conjunction with the Lamination Section Leader.
- Ensure punctual and precise entry of all required production data.
- Review and maintain the standard of housekeeping and the Lamination process, recommending and implementing 'best practices' for improvements.
- Implement and maintain the Company Safety Systems, applying relevant policies and procedures while keeping skills up to date.
- Assist the Lamination Section Leader in managing and developing department personnel.
- Provide out-of-hours support if required.
- Maintain and develop a comprehensive understanding/technical knowledge of the Lamination Department.
- Review and maintain daily report requirements, initiating reactions if irregularities are observed.
- Review current work practices in relation to the 5S safety Scheme on site and recommend/implement best practices to improve this initiative.
- Supervisory/Leadership experience required (preferably within a manufacturing environment).
- Intermediate standard of IT skills and competent use of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy are important.
- Relevant Safety, Health, and Environmental knowledge.
