Are you a compassionate and experienced psychologist or psychological therapist looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity? We are seeking a temporary specialist to join our mental health team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This exciting position involves working with autonomy and as part of a small specialist psychological therapies team, providing expert care to veterans dealing with trauma and other associated mental health difficulties. You will support individuals who have found it difficult to get their needs met within mainstream NHS mental health services.

We cover Kent, Surrey, and Sussex, offering virtual and in-person psychological therapy across all counties. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a degree of autonomy while being part of a collaborative clinical service.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in delivering NICE compliant trauma-focused psychological therapies, either trauma-focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and/or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). A strong understanding of the theory and practice of specialist psychological therapy is also essential.

  • Providing high-quality, specialist applied psychology services to clients, their families, or carers
  • Supporting psychological practice within the team through consultation, supervision, formulation, and training
  • Participating in systematic clinical governance

What We Offer

A competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including professional registration/accrediting body requirements.
