Southdowns is a leading provider of mental health services in West Sussex, and we are seeking an experienced and compassionate individual to join our team as a Mental Health Employment Specialist. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with mental health needs and contribute to our mission of supporting equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Neighbourhood Mental Health Team and the Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust to provide personalized guidance and support to clients
  • Build relationships with local employers to facilitate job placements and create new opportunities for clients
  • Develop and maintain integrated relationships with other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Foster a holistic approach to recovery through employment, focusing on client well-being and empowerment

Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of mental health support and its impact on employment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and priorities

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of £32,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a range of benefits, including flexible working arrangements and opportunities for career progression.
