Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Finance Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for reviewing and processing employee expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies and HMRC regulations, and preparing weekly expenses reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and process employee expenses through multiple systems across 4 different payrolls.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and HMRC regulations.
  • Reconcile expenses with receipts and supporting documents.
  • Prepare 2 weekly expenses reports and summaries.
  • Address queries in relation to expenses submission and company policies.
  • Maintain organized records of expenses reports and documentation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to facilitate the expenses approval process.
  • Answer correspondence and supply information on behalf of the Company and employees.
  • Collaborate with the wider shared service centre team.
  • Assist the Payroll Manager with department administrative duties.

Requirements

  • Accurate and numerate with computer literacy in Excel.
  • Dedicated and diligent attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately within deadlines, with attention to detail.
  • Enthusiastic and ability to work as part of a small team.
  • Good interpersonal skills (confidentially).

Desirable

  • Construction Industry Scheme experience.
  • Experience of working in a Shared Service Environment.
  • Previous experience in expenses processing or payroll role.
