Job Title: Experienced Housekeeper Wanted

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced live out Housekeeper for a four-floor, six-bedroom, and seven-bathroom private residence in Wimbledon, SW19.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of maintaining high standards of cleanliness and orderliness in a private residence. They will be responsible for performing all housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, ironing, and organizing.

The family is composed of 2 adults and 3 children, and the household is very busy. The successful candidate will need to be able to work efficiently and independently, with a high level of attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, ironing, and organizing
  • Care of 1 cat and 2 gerbils when the family is away
  • Report maintenance or repair needs to the Nanny/PA
  • Take charge of answering the door, deliveries, etc.
  • Keep on top of things that break/wobble/wear and tear and alert the Nanny/PA or the Mum
  • Small bits of sewing - buttons, small tears, etc.
  • Keeping on top of stains on sofas/carpet, etc.
  • Reorganize/tidy cupboards when the family is away and there is less to do
  • Deal with all grocery deliveries
  • Cooking - ideally you should be able to help cook some of the kids' meals (sometimes the Nanny cooks, but she does need some support with this) and to cook some of the Principal's meals (2-3 times a week)

Requirements:

  • Proven housekeeping experience in a private residence
  • Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently
  • Very good English is a MUST
  • Someone who is a self-starter and who will hit the ground running

Benefits:

Salary: 40k-50k gross per annum depending on experience. For Senior Housekeepers/TOP candidates they will pay up to £60k gross per annum but you must be very experienced in doing all the duties above and basically run the household.

You will get paid extra if you do babysitting or you work extra hours, etc.
