About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our Document Solutions team at Bechtle. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and developing our key vendors/partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Proactively hunt new business within our existing customer base within the Document Solutions portfolio and offer complementary products and services.
  • Solution Selling: Understand solution selling and continue building Bechtle's Document Solutions strategy, with templated offerings and services.
  • Account Management: Educate and train Account Managers on how to position our key Document Solutions packaged solutions.
  • Portfolio Management: Actively manage and update our solutions portfolio, covering all areas.
  • Vendor Management: At a high-level, understand the breadth and depth of key vendor product portfolios, how it sits within the market and the wider competitive landscape.
  • Customer Relationships: Create and maintain customer relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Vendor Relationships: Create and maintain relationships with key vendors, distributors and surrounding service partners.
  • Pipeline Management: Actively manage and update pipelines and forecast accordingly.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Create and collaborate with marketing on focused campaigns/events.
  • Operations: Invoicing and daily running of Document Solutions pillar.
  • Product Updates: Proactively deliver product updates from the Document Solutions pillar on key product information, incentives and general announcements that ensure we are maximising the profitability of a solution and providing accurate information into customers.
  • MIF Management: Manage the MIF base including serial numbers, contract information and customer data.
  • Customer Success: Monitor and manage customer success in post-sales.
Requirements
  • Self-Motivation: Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
  • Communication and Organisation: Excellent communication and organisational skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Education: University degree or good A-Levels preferred but not essential.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a dynamic environment where hard work and fun are the key ingredients.
  • Print Landscape Understanding: Understanding of print landscape either through managed print, productions or digital solutions (preferred).
  • Time Management: Must be organised, adaptable, flexible and a good team player.
  • Lead Generation and Sales Pipeline Management: Ability to plan and manage time effectively.
  • CRM and Sales Management: Ability to manage and track lead generation and a sales pipeline through CRM or a sales management system.
  • Strategic Mindset: A strategic mindset and the ability to develop and implement business plans in line with overall company objective.

Experience
  • Business Development Experience: 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing in the technology industry is required.
  • Proven Track Record: Proven track record in consultative selling and winning new business.
  • Revenue Growth: Proven track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads.
  • Enterprise Technology Understanding: Understanding of enterprise computer hardware, software, and solutions (preferred).
