About the Role:

You will be responsible for designing a range of precast and in situ concrete solutions utilizing innovative laser-cut reinforcing technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Leadership: Act as technical lead on projects large and small, ensuring the delivery of high-quality technical output.
  2. Analysis and Design: Undertake analysis and design using a range of software packages and from first principles, staying up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  3. Quality and Consistency: Ensure the quality and consistency of technical output, including drawings, reports, and calculations.
  4. Reporting and Communication: Prepare high-quality technical reports and calculations to support internal and external sign-off, and effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Collaboration and Liaison: Liaise and work with the internal team of other mechanical/structural engineers and contract/business managers, and external parties such as experimental testing facilities and universities.
  6. Professional Development: Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to continuously improve design practices and enhance construction efficiency.
  7. Project Management: Keep senior management up to date on project status and progress.

Your Skills and Experience:

  1. Education: Qualified to MEng degree (or BEng and Masters) in Civil/Structural engineering.
  2. Technical Skills: Proficient in the use of 3D CAD systems (Siemens NX, Autodesk Suite or similar).
  3. Practical Experience: Demonstrable practical manufacturing or assembly experience.
  4. Teamwork and Communication: The ability to work independently and contribute effectively as a member of a high-performance team, with attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
