Job Title: Logistics Account Manager

We are seeking a highly organized and capable Logistics Account Manager to join our team at Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited. As a Logistics Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of customer accounts, providing guidance and information to create chemistry with customers, and providing optimal supply chain solutions on export and import enquiries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for operational contacts with customers
  • Building relationships, understanding customers' needs and requirements, translating for business use, and providing sustainable logistics solutions
  • Maintaining high levels of communication across internal teams to ensure customers' requirements can be met and operational teams have necessary information to plan
  • Optimizing logistics services provided in terms of efficiency and effectiveness
  • Informing customers and recharging any additional charges that result during the course of an order
  • Providing customers with order updates and relevant documentation (CMR, invoices, heat certificates)
  • Obtaining and coordinating documentation necessary for import, export, and transit movements in line with Brexit clearance processes
  • Monitoring gross/operational margins on customer accounts to suggest and implement improvement suggestions
Requirements:
  • Experience in transport planning
  • Experience of working in a people/customer-facing role
