Customer Experience Business Support Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Experience Business Support Officer to join our team at Opus People Solutions. As a key member of our Customer Service and Blue Badge team, you will play a vital role in supporting the extra workload of Suffolk County Council.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing Blue Badge applications against the Department For Transport (DFT) eligibility criterion
  • Verifying supporting documentation and medical evidence
  • Providing accurate and effective advice and guidance to customers about the Blue Badge application process/rules of the Blue Badge scheme
  • Delivering a telephone assisted Blue Badge application service to those customers who do not have access to the internet
  • Carrying out associated administration tasks of the Blue Badge process

Requirements:

  • Proven administration and customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written, verbal and digital
  • Good standard of literacy, grammar, and keyboard skills
  • Ability to understand and interpret policies and procedure documents

What We Offer:

  • A competitive hourly rate of £11.98
  • A 37-hour working week, Monday to Friday
  • A 3-6 month contract with the possibility of extension
