Tpfrecruitment is supporting a leading regional firm of chartered accountants in their search for an experienced Audit & Accounts Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to join a reputable accountancy practice in a challenging role across both accounts and audit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Supervision: Supervise a portfolio of audit and accounts clients and department work planning.
  • Account Review: Review accounts and provide advice for more complex clients.
  • Team Management: Manage members of the audit and accounts team, carrying out audit and statutory accounts.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Apply relevant reporting standards, tax law, and auditing standards while executing work within deadlines and to budget and communicate effectively.
  • Team Support: Support team members and assist them in resolving technical issues.
  • Progress Reporting: Regularly report to partners on the workflow, work in progress, forthcoming deadlines, and job costs and give regular, constructive feedback to the audit and accounts team.
  • Team Development: Assist in the assessment, development, and training of the team.
  • Practice Support: Depending on experience, potentially support the partners with marketing and the development of the practice.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: ACA/ACCA qualified with extensive experience gained within practice.
  • Skills: Be completely conversant with all aspects of audit and accounting procedures.
  • IT Literacy: Be IT literate and highly competent with audit and accounting software.
