Audit & Accounts Manager Opportunity

TPF Recruitment is supporting a market leading regional firm of chartered accountants in their search for an Audit & Accounts Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring professional to join one of Kent's leading accountancy practices in an exciting position across both accounts and audit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a portfolio of audit and accounts clients and department work planning
  • Review accounts and provide advice for more complex clients
  • Manage members of the audit and accounts team, carrying out audit and statutory accounts
  • Apply relevant reporting standards, tax law, and auditing standards while executing work within deadlines and to budget and communicate effectively
  • Support team members and assist them in resolving technical issues
  • Work alongside partners to manage client relationships, focusing on their needs and dealing with queries and requests as they arise, liaising with other team members to ensure the smooth flow of work
  • Regularly report to partners on the workflow, work in progress, forthcoming deadlines, and job costs and give regular, constructive feedback to the audit and accounts team
  • Assist in the assessment, development, and training of the team
  • Depending on experience, potentially support partners with the development of the practice

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified with extensive experience gained within practice
  • Be completely conversant with all aspects of audit and accounting procedures
  • Have experience of effectively supervising junior team members
  • Proven analytical skills with an acute attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be IT literate and highly competent with audit and accounting software

Benefits:

  • A highly competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable
