Job Opportunity

TPF Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Audit & Accounts Manager at a leading regional firm of chartered accountants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Supervision: Supervise a portfolio of audit and accounts clients and department work planning.
  • Account Review: Review accounts and provide advice for more complex clients.
  • Team Management: Manage members of the audit and accounts team, carrying out audit and statutory accounts.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Apply relevant reporting standards, tax law, and auditing standards while executing work within deadlines and to budget and communicating effectively.
  • Team Support: Support team members and assist them in resolving technical issues.
  • Client Relationship Management: Work alongside partners to manage client relationships, focusing on their needs and dealing with queries and requests as they arise, liaising with other team members to ensure the smooth flow of work.
  • Workflow Management: Regularly report to partners on the workflow, work in progress, forthcoming deadlines, and job costs and giving regular, constructive feedback to the audit and accounts team.
  • Team Development: Assist in the assessment, development, and training of the team.
  • Practice Development: Depending on experience, potentially support partners with marketing and the development of the practice.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: ACA/ACCA qualified with extensive experience gained within practice.
  • Skills: Be completely conversant with all aspects of audit and accounting procedures.
  • Leadership: Have experience of effectively supervising junior team members.
  • Analytical Skills: Proven analytical skills with an acute attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills.
  • IT Literacy: Be IT literate and highly competent with audit and accounting software.
Benefits
  • Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
  • Benefits Package: A highly competitive benefits package is also on offer.
