Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Multidisciplinary Team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care on our Medical Assessment Unit.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist Registered Nurses in the delivery of effective patient care, working collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
  • Participate in meetings and handovers to discuss patient progress and care, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels on the ward, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
  • Undertake errand duties, including transporting specimens, collecting instruments and drugs, and retrieving case notes as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of patient case notes, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
