Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Patients with Personal Care: Provide washing, dressing, and personal care to patients, ensuring their dignity and comfort are maintained at all times.
  • Support Nursing Teams: Assist qualified nursing and medical staff with tasks and duties, ensuring seamless delivery of patient care.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to maintain a positive and respectful environment.
  • Monitor Patient Well-being: Alert registered nurses to any changes in patient health and well-being, ensuring prompt attention and care.
  • Contribute to a Safe Environment: Ensure effective use of resources, maintain a clean and safe environment, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the ward/unit.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Essential Qualifications: NVQ 2 Health and Social Care or Care Certificate, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, or willingness to undertake an apprenticeship in Senior Healthcare Support Worker.
  • Essential Experience: Proven ability to remain calm under pressure, demonstrate compassion and empathy, and follow instructions.
  • Essential Skills: Effective communication skills, ability to work as part of a team, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Essential Knowledge: Understanding of confidentiality and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
