Job Title: Senior Healthcare Support Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Wrightington Wigan & Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to patients, including washing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Assist qualified nursing and medical staff with clinical duties and tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control policies.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • NVQ 2 Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work on any ward and site within the Trust.
