About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our nursing team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the smooth operation of our wards and departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with personal care, including washing, dressing, and hygiene needs.
  • Support qualified nursing and medical staff in providing patient care and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Monitor patients' health and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to registered nurses.
  • Participate in patient observations, such as temperature checks, weighing, and fluid monitoring, as directed.
  • Contribute to the efficient use of resources and supplies within the ward/unit, in consultation with senior staff.
  • Assist with cleaning and preparing patient beds, as well as general cleaning and restocking of resources.
  • Engage in ongoing learning and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
