Airbus Helicopters is a leading manufacturer of helicopters, with a strong presence in the UK. Our team in Oxford is responsible for designing and developing avionic systems for our aircraft.

We are seeking an experienced Principle Avionics Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the design of avionic systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and collaborating with other stakeholders to resolve design issues.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design of avionic systems, ensuring compliance with EASA, UK, and UK Military standards.
  • Collaborate with other project stakeholders to resolve design issues and ensure timely project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain avionic design procedures to ensure cost-effective design solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior design engineers.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record in avionic integration design to EASA, UK, or UK Military standards.
  • Sound understanding of aircraft systems and software safety analysis processes.
  • Relevant degree in Aerospace Engineering, preferably with a focus on avionics.
  • Extensive experience working in design or engineering environments with avionic/electrical and mission system integration.
