Airbus Helicopters is a leading manufacturer of helicopters, with a strong presence in the UK. Our team in Oxford is responsible for designing and developing avionics and electrical systems for our aircraft.

We are seeking an experienced Principle Avionics Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the design of avionics and electrical systems for our aircraft, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and delivering high-quality designs that meet our customers' needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design of avionics and electrical systems for our aircraft
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including EASA and UK Military standards
  • Liaise with other project stakeholders to resolve design issues
  • Develop and maintain design procedures to ensure cost-effective design solutions
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior design engineers

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in avionics integration design to EASA, UK or UK Military standards
  • Sound understanding of aircraft systems and software safety analysis
  • Relevant degree in Aerospace engineering, preferably with avionics experience
  • Extensive experience working in design or engineering environments with avionic/electrical and mission system integration
