Job Title: Principle Avionics Design EngineerAbout the Role

We are seeking an experienced Avionics Design Engineer to join our team at Airbus Helicopters UK. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design of avionic and electrical systems for our helicopters.

With a strong background in avionic and electrical design, you will be responsible for ensuring that all designs are compliant with UK and UK military regulations. You will also be responsible for mentoring and developing the skills of our avionic design engineers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the design of avionic and electrical systems for our helicopters.
  • Ensure that all designs are compliant with UK and UK military regulations.
  • Mentor and develop the skills of our avionic design engineers.
  • Responsible for avionic and electrical design procedures to provide cost-effective design solutions.
Requirements
  • Proven track record in avionic integration design to EASA, UK or UK military standards.
  • Sound understanding of aircraft systems and software safety analysis process.
  • Relevant degree in Aerospace engineering, preferably within avionics.
  • Extensive experience working within design or within an engineering environment with avionic/electrical and mission system integration.
