Job Title: Commercial and Sales Director

Meridian Business Support is seeking a highly experienced Commercial Waste Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and marketing, as well as experience managing a small team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue from recycling and waste collections services.
  • Build and manage the new food waste business, ensuring its successful implementation.
  • Develop and promote the Commercial Waste brand, highlighting the services offered.
  • Plan and execute digital or operational transformation projects within the department's remit.
  • Liaise with the Waste & Recycling and Litter & Cleansing operational team to optimize service delivery.
  • Ensure contract generation aligns with agreed targets, from initial customer contact to sales conversion.
  • Manage new business accounts, ensuring all contract elements run smoothly.
  • Conduct performance management procedures for the office team, including recruitment, appraisals, attendance management, and disciplinary actions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in sales and marketing, with a strong background in waste management.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective strategies to increase revenue.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
