Commercial Waste Manager Job Description

Meridian Business Support is seeking a highly experienced Commercial Waste Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and marketing, as well as experience managing a small team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement income-generating recycling and waste collection services to maximize returns on resources.
  • Build and implement a new food waste business, ensuring successful implementation.
  • Develop and promote Commercial Waste brand awareness around various services offered.
  • Plan and execute digital or operational transformation projects within the department's remit.
  • Liaise with the Waste & Recycling and Litter & Cleansing operational team to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Ensure contract generation aligns with agreed targets from initial customer contact to sales conversion.
  • Manage new business accounts, ensuring all contract elements run smoothly.
  • Conduct performance management procedures for the office team, including recruitment, appraisals, attendance management, and disciplinary actions.

This is a maternity cover position, lasting 7 months. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's waste management services.
