Job Title:

We are currently recruiting for a Specialist Housing First Worker, to work in the Ilford area.

The role is a female-only position, requiring approximately 5 hours per week, working across Monday – Friday, 9AM – 5PM.

The estimated hourly rate is £17.44, with an additional £1.88 holiday pay, totalling £56 per hour.

This is a temporary cover position, lasting approximately 1-2 months.

About the Role:

The service provides support to female clients who have experienced multiple disadvantages and are linked to the criminal justice system.

The Specialist Housing First Worker will hold a caseload of 5-7 key clients and carry out regular key working sessions.

The goal is to provide comprehensive and high-quality needs and risk assessments and risk management plans.

  • Implement continuous assessment with clients to ensure they are supported and have access to the resources they need.
  • Work closely with referral agencies to identify and engage with clients that meet the criteria.
  • Carry out in-reach into the prisons to enable preparation prior to release.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of the specific issues and risks faced by women who have been in prison or had contact with the criminal justice system.

They should also have experience in joint working with other agencies and understanding of provision of services for individuals whose support needs include offending, mental health, substance misuse, domestic violence, and homelessness.

A fully enhanced DBS is required, either registered on the DBS update service or issued within the last 12 months.
