Zest Business Group is recruiting an Area Business Development Manager to cover North London and the Home Counties. As a market-leading optical frame company, we design, market, and distribute ophthalmic and sunglass frames to opticians worldwide.

About the Job:

We are looking for a skilled sales professional who can create and build exceptional customer relationships. This role reports to the Sales Director and involves a mix of account management and new business development. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and executing a strategic sales plan, meeting with potential clients, and growing long-lasting relationships.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the optical industry, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a proven track record of meeting sales targets. A company car and additional benefits are offered to successful applicants.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand the customer base and increase revenue.
  • Meet with potential clients and grow long-lasting relationships by understanding client needs and offering tailored solutions.
  • Negotiate sales agreements and bonus arrangements with clients within agreed limits.
  • Act as an ambassador of the brand, promoting marketing initiatives to prospects and clients.
  • Manage the sales pipeline, including month-end and year-end close processes.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in the optical industry (Dispensing Optician/Practice Manager).
  • Optical field sales experience.
  • Able to quickly gain a strong understanding of the client marketplace, including competitor products.
  • Very self-motivated and target driven.
  • Commercially savvy.
Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is up to £32,500, plus an excellent commission scheme, offering an OTE of circa £50k. A company car and additional benefits are also provided.
