Outpatient Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to fill our Band 2 Healthcare Assistant position in the Outpatients department at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive the highest standard of care and support.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include preparing clinics for patients, communicating with patients and visitors to promote their comfort and well-being, and performing basic observations, such as blood pressure, pulse, and height and weight checks. You will also be responsible for assisting with specimen collection, reporting results accurately, and acting as a chaperone when required. Additionally, you will be expected to manage your workload and prioritize tasks effectively, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to standards of conduct and care.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong understanding of patient care and housekeeping duties. A GCSE A-C or Functional Skills in English and Maths (Level 1 or 2) is essential, with a Care Certificate in healthcare (Level 3) being desirable. You should also be able to undertake HS&C level 3 apprenticeship and have experience working in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is committed to delivering high-quality patient care and support.
