Clinical Pharmacy Assistant

Job Description:
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the preparation and dispensing of aseptic medications to patients across various departments. As an experienced aseptic pharmacy technician, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of patient safety and adhering to relevant protocols.

Estimated Salary: £28,070 - £37,234 per annum (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Aseptically prepare and dispense medicines to wards, outpatients, and the cancer day unit
- Utilize manual dexterity skills to accurately prepare medical equipment and materials
- Adhere to standard operating procedures for preparing cytotoxics, monoclonal antibodies, and other aseptic products
- Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment by following proper handling and storage procedures for cytotoxic/aseptic substances
Qualifications and Experience:
- Aseptic pharmacy technician certification or equivalent
- Relevant prior experience in a hospital setting
- NVQ Level 2 for Pharmaceutical Sciences (or in training to gain the qualification)
