We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner to join our CAMHS Liaison Team at Portsmouth Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing specialist mental health assessment and treatment to children and adolescents in crisis.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct rapid crisis assessments for young people referred through the general hospitals and community referral pathway, providing short crisis intervention and signposting to other specialist services as required.
- Assess and manage risk, including clinical and generic risk assessment and management.
- Provide clinically effective and therapeutic interventions for children, adolescents, and their families, taking into account the complexities of mental health problems.
- Offer consultation, specialist advice, and training to professionals who come into contact with children and young people who have mental health needs.

Requirements- Post-qualification specialist training at postgraduate level.
- Experience of specialist mental health assessment and treatment of children and adolescents and their families/carers.
- Experience of working with a wide variety of children, adolescents, and their families/carers across the whole range and presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity.
- Post-qualifying experience of working as a specialist mental health worker within a mental health setting.
- Experience of teaching and/or training other professionals.
