Role Overview
We're seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our team as a Detention and Community Treatment Specialist. This exciting opportunity involves working as a Clinical Review Panel Member, attending hearings and reviewing detention/community treatment orders.
Main Responsibilities
- Attend hearings as a panel member and review detention/community treatment orders, ensuring that reviews are undertaken in accordance with the MHA 1983 (amended 2007) and Code of Practice.
- Scrutinise, interpret and challenge complex information presented orally and in written report format.
- Develop relevant knowledge and understanding and support the function undertaken on behalf of the Hospital Managers.
- Provide feedback and report any issues of concern to the Hospital Manager, Mental Health Act Office, and Chair of the Hospital Managers Hearing Panel.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications and experience in mental health care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good computer skills and access to PC.
- Demonstrate some knowledge and awareness of legislation associated with the MHA 1983.
