The Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic and engaging individual to join our team as a Wellbeing Coordinator at Bedford Care Home in Leigh. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing stimulating and meaningful activities for our residents.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with the Home Manager and Head of Dementia & Wellbeing to develop and coordinate new and ongoing engagement programmes that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents. This will include planning and organizing activities, trips, and outings to promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement person-centred activities that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and emotional well-being.
  • Work with residents to develop and coordinate new and ongoing engagement programmes.
  • Plan and organize trips and outings to promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
  • Support the Home Manager in maintaining an engaging and stimulating environment throughout the home.
  • Develop and manage the activities budget in conjunction with the Home Manager.
  • Ensure risk assessments are completed for all activities and outings.
  • Maximize the use of resources available to support the delivery of meaningful and engaging activities.
