About the Role

As a Void Officer at Single Homeless Project, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our properties are ready for occupation in a timely and efficient manner. Your primary responsibility will be to manage our maintenance voids, process pre-void inspections, and coordinate repair works to meet our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate works with registered providers, approved contractors, and our in-house maintenance team to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Keep void records up to date and assist with preparing void reports to inform business decisions.
  • Build relationships with internal and external partners to achieve value for money and improve our void service.
  • Work with our Caretakers and Service Teams to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to deliver an efficient void service.

About You

  • You have experience in negotiating and communicating clear, concise, and effective works specifications, and effectively liaising with internal and external partners.
  • You possess a strong understanding of the financial impact of ineffective void or maintenance processes and can innovatively find ways to reduce waste, achieve best value for money, and reduce void loss.
  • You have proven strong administration skills, including the ability to use database systems to record void progress.
  • You are self-motivated and understand the impact of your work, with a strong ability to follow through on tasks and responsibilities.
  • You have proven experience of managing and prioritizing a busy workload, working to meet competing deadlines.
