Nuclear Medicine Lead Scientist Position
About the Job:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nuclear Medicine Lead Clinical Scientist to join our team at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. The successful candidate will lead the delivery of scientific and technical support to nuclear medicine services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and providing expert advice on radiation protection and medical physics.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead on the provision of radiation protection and scientific support to several hospitals.
- Work alongside local service leads to ensure organisations deliver statutory obligations with respect to the safe use of ionising radiation.
- Support and line manage clinical scientists, contribute to staff development and assist in the supervision of trainees undertaking the STP programme or equivalent.
- BSc Honours degree in Physics, Medical Physics, or related field.
- Masters degree in Medical Physics, Medical Imaging, or similar.
- HCPC Registered Clinical Scientist.
- RPA2000 Certified Medical Physics Expert (MPE) in Nuclear Medicine.
£45,000 - £60,000 per annum.
Location:Mount Vernon Hospital, Rickmansworth Road, Northwood, HA6 2RN.
