Job Title: Project Planner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Project Planner to join our team at King and Moffatt. As a Project Planner, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining project planning controls and accurate reporting across multiple projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create a master baseline schedule in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project software as per company procedures, industry best practice, and client specifications.
  • Using schedule hierarchy, create schedules for project delivery and communicate these to the project team.
  • Create separate and integrated templates and model programmes for three stages: pre-construction, construction, and commissioning.
  • Create detailed schedules covering design, procurement, installation, and close out.
  • Incorporate trade contractors' schedules into the company schedule hierarchy.
  • Communicate scheduling and project controls matters to all members of the project team, including the company, client, design team, and trade contractors.
  • Manage progress reporting and integration of progress information into the company's progress reports.
  • Create and monitor KPIs and production of weekly/monthly dashboards and reports.
  • Engage in the change management process to determine the impact of change on the programme.
  • Create and manage the commissioning programme.
  • Develop commissioning KPIs and reporting regime.
  • Prepare time impact analyses to support extension of time claims.
  • Evaluate extension of time claims from trade contractors.
  • Mentor and provide training to junior staff.

Requirements:

  • Degree in either Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Previous experience working as an M&E Planner ideally on High End residential or commercial building services projects.
  • Previous experience using MS Project is essential.
  • Experience working in construction planning in Mechanical/Electrical Building Services contracting is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail with the ability to produce reports.
  • Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to converse with clients and stakeholders at ease.
  • Ability to work to own directive and stick to strict timeline schedules.
