Job Title: VP Head of Regulatory

As a key member of the Corporate & Investment Bank's Operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the bank's trade and working capital operations are compliant with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee a globally dispersed team of Trade Technical Experts responsible for designing, executing, and testing controls to mitigate regulatory, compliance, legal, and technical risks associated with trade products.
  • Interface with internal partners, including Product, Technology, Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Audit, to ensure alignment and effective risk management.
  • Interact directly with regulators in exams, reviews, issues, and ad-hoc requests, providing subject matter expertise and advice on trade transformation projects.
  • Manage and influence process changes to transform the current environment using available technology and artificial intelligence.
  • Identify, measure, control, and monitor trade transaction risk for both internal business units and external corporate clients.
  • Create and deliver the Trade training program, including CDCS certification, re-certification, targeted Trade Regulatory Compliance training, and risk roundtable forums.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews for Sanctions Screening and AML review processes, document results, report to management, and prepare related metrics reporting.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate confidence in risk-based decision making with the ability to escalate timely to senior management.
  • Possess the ability to work on multiple tasks/projects with competing deadlines.
  • Ability to operate in a complex, high-pressure, highly regulated environment in support of high-risk processes.
  • Strong Risk and Controls mindset. Proven track record in handling regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working in leadership roles in trade, risk, compliance, or audit areas.
