Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Accounts Assistant to join our finance team at Cranleigh Scientific Ltd. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial records, as well as providing administrative support to the finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in finance and develop their skills in a dynamic and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Enter purchase ledger invoices and maintain organized and current accounts payable records
* Assist in reconciling accounts payable statements and reports and monitor cashbooks and perform weekly reconciliations
* Manage the processing of company credit cards and expense claims and communicate with suppliers and regional administrators to resolve invoicing queries
* Prepare weekly payment schedules to ensure timely and accurate vendor payments and support month-end and year-end financial closing processes
* Assist with VAT submissions and general accounting and finance tasks as needed

Requirements
* Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting concepts
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
* Ability to problem-solve and develop solutions
* Effective communication skills and experience working in fast-paced environments
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
* Desirable: progress towards AAT qualifications
