This is a unique opportunity to shape and develop the Public Protection service on a county scale, delivering excellent service to residents and businesses, protecting the health and wellbeing of our communities.

The post has responsibility for over 70 dedicated staff in 4 diverse teams, bringing together consumer protection, environmental protection, community protection, and food and safety.

You will need to have substantial experience across many public protection disciplines, hold Chartered membership of a relevant professional body, and have up-to-date knowledge of legislation.

You will be overseeing the work and developing services, focusing on two key areas: air quality and anti-social behaviour.
