About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team in Cheshire and Wirral. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to individuals with mental health needs, working closely with our Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Teams, Liaison Services, Street Triage Services, Liaison and Diversion Services, and the Crisis Line.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred support to individuals with mental health needs, promoting independence and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans, ensuring effective risk management and safety planning.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, identifying individual needs and developing tailored support plans.
  • Deliver high-quality interventions, including psychosocial support, to promote recovery and well-being.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with service users, carers, and other agencies, ensuring effective partnership working.
Requirements
  • NVQ level 3 in Health or Social Care, or equivalent qualification.
  • Evidence of training in psychosocial interventions or willingness to undertake training.
  • Sound knowledge of current professional staff development and continuous service improvement issues, particularly in adult mental health services.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the principles and implementation of anti-discriminatory practice.
  • Ability to communicate complex and sensitive information, requiring empathy and reassurance.
