About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team in Cheshire and Wirral. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to individuals with mental health needs, working closely with our Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Teams, Liaison Services, Street Triage Services, Liaison and Diversion Services, and the Crisis Line.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred support to individuals with mental health needs, promoting independence and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans, ensuring effective risk management and safety planning.
  • Deliver psychosocial interventions, including crisis management and support, to individuals in need.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives, ensuring high-quality care and support.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in mental health support.
Requirements
  • NVQ level 3 in Health or Social Care, or equivalent qualification.
  • Evidence of training in psychosocial interventions or willingness to undertake training.
  • Experience working in a mental health environment, with a focus on adult mental health services.
  • Ability to communicate complex and sensitive information, demonstrating empathy and reassurance.
  • Capacity to work effectively in a crisis situation, making sound judgments and decisions.
