Primary Teaching Assistant

Frosterley Primary School is seeking a committed primary teaching assistant to work in a 1:1 role supporting a year three pupil with SEMH needs. As a member of our school community, you will play a key role in promoting the pupil's emotional wellbeing and engagement with learning.
About the Role:- This is a temporary position required from January until August 2025 with a possible extension depending on linked funding.
- The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to develop and implement individualised plans to support the pupil's academic and social progress.
- You will assist the class teacher in planning, implementing, and reviewing teaching and learning activities to promote the pupil's engagement and academic progress.
We are looking for someone who is caring, enthusiastic, and committed to their role in supporting children. You will have high expectations of children's achievement and behaviour and be motivated and use your initiative when necessary.
