About the Role
Sight Scotland, a leading charity in Scotland providing specialist care, education, and research for individuals with vision impairment, is seeking an experienced Supporter Fundraiser to join their team. As a key member of the organization's fundraising department, this role will focus on engaging supporters, community groups, and volunteers in various initiatives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing plans to maximize income from individual donors and legacy gifts. This involves creating innovative campaigns that grow the supporter base, drive donations, legacy pledges, and gifts while strengthening the brand. The post holder will work closely with external agencies specializing in individual giving and legacies to lead the donor communication and engagement program.
This strategic role aims to contribute significantly to the organization's mission by maximizing fundraising income and delivering brilliant services to make a positive impact on people living with visual impairment in Scotland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing strategies to engage supporters and maximize individual giving and legacy income
- Collaborating with external agencies to optimize donor communication and engagement programs
- Fostering relationships with community groups and volunteers to promote the organization's mission
What You'll Need

Working with Us
Sight Scotland offers a competitive salary, 37 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), and a contributory pension scheme with up to 12% employer contribution. Based in Edinburgh, this role provides a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals with vision impairment in Scotland.
Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum
