Senior Paediatric Nurse

As a Senior Children's Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct line management support to Band 5 Nurses and Band 3 + 4 Specialist Carers, delivering high-quality patient care in the hospice, children's homes, or community settings.
You will plan and review care in collaboration with families to ensure safety and advocacy, administer medications, and maintain the nutritional status of all children.
The ideal candidate will have registration as a Sick Children's Nurse or Registered Nurse (Child Branch), relevant post-qualification experience at Band 5 level, and experience in nursing children with life-limiting conditions.
They will also possess excellent clinical, communication, and mentoring skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct line management support to Band 5 Nurses and Band 3 + 4 Specialist Carers

- Administer medications and maintain the nutritional status of all children
- Participate in governance activities, including incident reporting and resource management
- Offer training and development opportunities to staff and family members
