We are seeking a skilled Lift Equipment Specialist to join our team at Schindler Group. This prominent role involves the installation of lift and escalator equipment, adhering to approved procedures and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and organisational safety.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Installation of Lift and Escalator Equipment: The successful candidate will be responsible for installing lift and escalator equipment, including well and ancillary equipment, traction equipment, lift ropes, and doors and frames, in accordance with approved procedures.
  2. Site Surveys and Quality Control: The lift equipment specialist will conduct site surveys to ensure that all installations are completed safely and efficiently, and will also be responsible for checking and setting the lift/escalator installation in accordance with approved procedures.
  3. Collaboration and Communication: The candidate will work closely with the supervisor and customers to ensure the satisfaction of customer needs and will maintain open communication throughout the project.
  4. Training and Development: The successful candidate will be required to attend all relevant training sessions and will be expected to contribute to the company's safety objectives by maintaining and monitoring current safety systems under their direct control.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified to NVQ level 3 minimum in Lift/Escalator Installation or equivalent.
  • Possession of a relevant/valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
  • Good communication skills at different levels (Client/Installation Managers/SAIS Inspectors).
  • Full UK driving License.
