Mechanical Assembler

• Job Summary:
• We are seeking an experienced Mechanical and Electrical Assembly Technician to join our team at Engineering Recruitment PDQ.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for completing mechanical assembly of instruments from component parts, manufacturing and installation of wiring looms, and testing and fault finding on instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete mechanical assembly of instruments from component parts.
• Manufacture and installation of wiring looms (using techniques such as soldering and crimping).
• Testing and fault finding on instruments.
• Provision of occasional support to the Service & Repair department, with options to visit customer sites in the UK.
• Ensure that all H&SE policies and the company ISO guidelines are adhered to during manufacture/assembly/repair of instruments.
• Participation in the ISO9001 and ISO14001 standard development and maintenance.

Requirements:

• Experience with precision Mechanical or electro-mechanical assemblies is essential.
• A solid background in both mechanical fitting and electrical assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering instructions, drawings and BOM's.
• Take pride in producing high quality work. Good attention to detail.
• Organised and able to prioritise.
• Team player with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
