About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Medicines Optimisation Manager to join our team at Nuffield Health The Manor Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines across all clinical departments, with a focus on optimising medication use and reducing waste.

About the Opportunity

The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience of working in a clinical setting as a pharmacist. You will be confident in making decisions and using your initiative, with a strong understanding of medicines management principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise medication use and reduce waste, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Lead and motivate the pharmacy team to provide excellent patient care, with a focus on improving the quality of services and standards.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to implement medication safety alerts and drug recalls, ensuring the accurate and timely dispensing of medications.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Experience of working in a clinical setting as a pharmacist
  • Leadership and managerial experience in a pharmacy setting
  • Awareness and knowledge of oncology pharmacy
