Job Description:
  • Technical leadership of research, development, and improvement of new and existing molecular biology assays.
  • Project management of large projects, including project planning, milestones, timelines, experimental design, and implementation of laboratory work.
  • Ensuring successful project transition from phase to phase through the project life cycle.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Molecular Biology or a related field and significant post-qualification experience in molecular biology technologies.

A proven track record of optimising and troubleshooting molecular biology assays is essential, as well as experience in novel chemistry and technology development.

Responsibilities:
  • Technical leadership of research, development, and improvement of new and existing molecular biology assays.
  • Project management of large projects, including project planning, milestones, timelines, experimental design, and implementation of laboratory work.
  • Ensuring successful project transition from phase to phase through the project life cycle.
  • Researching, developing, and improving new and existing products.
  • Providing technical expertise/training to other research staff.
  • Maintaining relevant scientific literature.
  • Presentation of results and project summaries in both written and oral format.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Molecular Biology or a related field.
  • Significant post-qualification experience in molecular biology technologies.
  • Proven experience in optimising and troubleshooting molecular biology assays.
  • Experience in novel chemistry and technology development.
  • Ability to establish new scientific contacts and networks.
