Employment Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Employment Specialist to join our team at Recovery Focus. As an Employment Specialist, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with mental health problems and other chronic health conditions to find and maintain employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one support to individuals to help them achieve their employment goals
  • Work with local employers to identify job opportunities and promote the benefits of employing individuals with mental health conditions
  • Develop and deliver training and workshops to help individuals build their skills and confidence
  • Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to ensure a comprehensive support package for individuals
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to monitor progress and evaluate the effectiveness of the service

Requirements

  • Experience of working with individuals with mental health conditions and/or chronic health conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good understanding of the IPS model of working and its application in employment settings
  • Valid driving license and access to a car

Location

This role is based in Woking and requires regular travel to meet with clients and employers.

Working Hours

This is a full-time role requiring the post-holder to work 37.5 hours per week.
