Employment Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Employment Specialist to join our team at Waythrough. As an Employment Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health problems to find and maintain employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and guidance to individuals to help them achieve their employment goals
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with community mental health teams and local employers
  • Develop and promote the service to ensure maximum impact
  • Manage efficient admin systems to ensure timely referrals, assessments, and reviews

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of mental health problems and their impact on employment
  • Excellent motivational, presentation, and listening skills
  • Ability to travel in the local area and work outside of office hours as required

About Waythrough:

Waythrough is a national charity providing specialist support services to individuals and families living with the effects of mental ill health, drug and alcohol use, and domestic violence. We are committed to increasing our diversity and welcome applications from those with lived experience.

This is a permanent full-time role requiring the post holder to work 37.5 hours per week. We are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment.
