Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Completions Manager to join our team at State Bank of India UK. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing a pipeline of cases in a fast-paced environment, dealing with workflows and prioritizing accordingly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Case Management: Review all necessary legal documents and completion queries, such as searches reports and indemnity insurances, and provide responses to support completion.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with internal stakeholders, including underwriters, credit administrators, and risk managers, as well as external stakeholders, such as solicitors, customers, and brokers, to ensure smooth assessment and completion of Buy to Let applications.
  • Offer Management: Be the first point of contact for solicitors and brokers following the issuing of the formal mortgage offer, and manage and support queries related to offer conditions.
  • Policy Knowledge: Gain a full understanding of the BTL credit policy to resolve completion queries and manage escalations where necessary.
  • Legal Compliance: Support the satisfaction of legal conditions of the mortgage offer in line with the Bank's lending policy and case requirements.
  • Pipeline Management: Monitor and manage upcoming expiration of valuations, credit searches, and offers.
  • Team Support: Assist the solicitors and completions support team for smooth processing and completion of cases.
  • Completion Funds: Support the processing team in the release of completion funds, ensuring deadlines are met and funds released as scheduled.
  • Forecasting: Proactively manage a pipeline of Offered and Legal instructed cases and provide monthly completions forecasts to management.
  • Broker Liaison: Liaise with brokers and intermediaries for any outstanding requirements to ensure the progressing of cases.
  • Customer Communication: Keep customers and brokers informed of the progress of post-offer applications and explain the Bank's timelines and requirements throughout the process.
  • MIS Preparation: Prepare and maintain MIS reports for the BTL department as a whole.
  • Reporting: Assist the Chief Credit Officer, Chief Business Officer, and Head Underwriter in preparing various presentations and reports for presenting to various authorities and committees related to the BTL portfolio.
Requirements
  • Buy to Let Knowledge: Exhibit sound knowledge and competency of Buy to Let/Asset-backed loans in the UK.
  • Mortgage Completions: Have a sound knowledge of mortgage completions, post-offer administration activities.
  • Documentation Management: Have hands-on experience in managing post-offer documentation.
  • Technical Skills: Have good knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Reports directly to the Chief Credit Officer.
