Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Completions Manager to join our team at State Bank of India UK. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing a pipeline of cases in a fast-paced environment, dealing with workflows and prioritizing accordingly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Case Management: Review all necessary legal documents and completion queries, such as searches reports and indemnity insurances, and provide responses both written and verbal to support completion.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with internal stakeholders, including underwriters, credit administrators, risk managers, and branches, as well as external stakeholders, such as solicitors, customers, brokers, and valuers, to ensure smooth assessment and completion of Buy to Let applications.
  • Offer Management: Be the first point of contact for solicitors and brokers following the issuing of the formal mortgage offer, manage and support queries related to offer conditions, and gain a full understanding of the BTL credit policy to resolve completion queries and manage escalations where necessary.
  • Legal Compliance: Support the satisfaction of legal conditions of the mortgage offer in line with the Bank's lending policy and case requirements, and monitor and manage upcoming expiration of valuations, credit searches, and offers.
  • Team Support: Assist the solicitors and completions support team for smooth processing and completion of cases, and support the processing team in the release of completion funds, ensuring deadlines are met and funds released as scheduled.
  • Pipeline Management: Proactively manage a pipeline of Offered and Legal instructed cases and provide monthly completions forecasts to management, and liaise with brokers and intermediaries for any outstanding requirements to ensure progressing of cases.
  • Customer Communication: Keep customers and brokers informed of the progress of post-offer applications and explain the Bank's timelines and requirements throughout the process.
  • MIS Preparation: Prepare and maintain MIS reports for the BTL Department as a whole, and assist the Chief Credit Officer, Chief Business Officer, or Head Underwriter in preparing various PowerPoint presentations and reports for presenting to various authorities and committees related to the BTL portfolio.
Requirements
  • Buy to Let Expertise: Exhibit sound knowledge and competency of Buy to Let/Asset-backed loans in the UK.
  • Mortgage Completions Knowledge: Have a sound knowledge of mortgage completions, post-offer administration activities, and hands-on experience in managing post-offer documentation.
  • Technical Skills: Have good knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Reports directly to the Chief Credit Officer.
