Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and commercially minded Commercial Legal Advisor to join our team at Blenheim Chalcot. As a key member of our Legal Team, you will provide legal support to our rapidly expanding portfolio of businesses, including startups, and play a crucial role in managing risk across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice on commercial contracts, data protection, and intellectual property issues
  • Monitor and implement data protection, privacy, and compliance policies
  • Identify, monitor, research, and resolve issues relating to commercial contracts, liaising with external and internal stakeholders to minimize business risk
  • Help portfolio businesses protect their brands and intellectual property
  • Collaborate with a range of stakeholders within the wider VBS business and across a portfolio of over 25 companies

Requirements

  • Qualified in England and Wales with at least 1 year PQE, or foreign-qualified lawyers with experience working with English and Welsh law
  • Experience providing legal advice in a commercial environment and working across data protection and intellectual property issues
  • A commercially minded approach to legal practice, with the ability to align legal strategies with business goals
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders
